Since 1978, Dennis E. Expungement of Records
Among the important services which our firm offers to our clients is the Expungement of records of previous criminal charges. The Expungement of criminal records in magistrate’s and municipal courts is governed by South Carolina Code Section 17-22-950 et seq. and the Expungement of criminal records in General Sessions is governed by South Carolina Code Section 17-22-940 et seq. If you have a criminal arrest on your record for a charge which was dismissed, nol-prossed, or on which you were found not guilty and you would like to have the paperwork associated with that arrest expunged from your permanent record, contact us promptly. Please note that Expungements are Court Orders which instruct various government agencies to destroy public documents. Expungement Orders do not affect private individuals, corporations, insurance companies or other entities which might have a copy of your criminal record.
